Rebecca J. Milamo is an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Land Management and Valuation at Ardhi University in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. She holds an MSc. in Real Estate and BSc. in Land Management and Valuation both acquired from Ardhi University.
After graduation, Rebecca managed local and international professional links for real estate experts working as an Executive Assistant at Tanzania Institution of Valuers and Estate Agents (currently, Association of Real Estate Professionals in Tanzania). Later on she joined the National Housing Corporation as an estate officer responsible for tenant allocation and management of over 1000 housing stock. The role involved conducting affordable housing research, land acquisition and rent assessment. In 2019 Rebecca’s passion on research made her join Ardhi University academic staff. She has been teaching and researching on land administration, urban economics and housing.
Rebecca’s areas of expertise include research, land management, housing and valuation. She has a network with local and international professionals that were established in the professional conferences. She is registered under the Valuers’ Registration Board (Tanzania) and a member of several professional associations – The Network of Land Governance in Africa (NELGA) Alumni, Association of Real Estate Professionals in Tanzania, DAAD Alumni and African Real Estate Society. Rebecca served as member of School of Earth Sciences, Real Estate, Business and Informatics Board, Ardhi University (2016 -2019).
