Olive Lomokol is a student at Makerere Institute of Social Research (MISR), Makerere University pursuing an MPhil/Ph.D. in Social Studies. Prior to MISR, Olive worked with United Nations’ University for Peace, as a project manager for the Karamoja Cluster Project—Peacebuilding. She also worked as a project coordinator for ‘Women in Mining’ with the Ecological Christian Organization. Olive holds an MA in Peace and Conflict Studies from Uganda Martyrs University. Her research interests include pastoralism and the state, the political economy of gendered violence, women and land rights, and customary power.
