Fabakary Jammeh is a legal professional with experience in human rights, rule of law and justice programming and advocacy. He holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of the Gambia (UTG), and a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Institute of Legal Practice and Development (ILPD) . He worked as a Legal Fellow and Human Rights Monitor for the Gambia Center for Victims of Human Rights Violations where he supported the documentation of human rights violations committed by the regime of former President Yahya Jammeh in The Gambia, and facilitated advocacy for accountability and redress to survivors and victims. He also served as a UN Volunteer in The Gambia seconded to the Gambia Bar Association as a Rule of Law, Justice and Security Monitoring and Evaluation Officer where managed the Prison Legal Aid Desk. Fabakary is currently the Head of Programs at the Center for Legal Support, a network of public interest lawyers in The Gambia.
