Biography
Michelle Nagawa is a GIS Analyst with Uganda Revenue Authority. She serves as the current Chair of the Young Surveyor’s Network in Uganda and Second in charge of the Knowledge Portal with FIG-Volunteer Community Surveyors Program. She authored “Master of your future”. It mainly focuses on encouraging young people to pursue self-growth, self-realisation and self-development and to believe in what they are capable of doing. It is a book of hope, hard work and optimism. A believer in youth empowerment and community development. Michaelle is an alumni and Community Action Award winner 2023, of the Aspire Program under Aspire Institute -Harvard University. The project seeks to address increasing youth participatory in Urban Participatory Planning. Her vision is, “To use my leadership and knowledge skills as an inspiration to fellow young people; to have them use whatever skills they have to make the world a better place sustainably.” She is also an alumni of the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) and African Future Leader’s Fellowship. She is a member of the Rotaract Club of Kampala South, and the founder of the Page Masters Club aimed at improving the reading culture among Ugandan Youth.
