Biography
Passionate about sustainable development, gender and natural resources management, her career experience has extended across various divisions of sustainable development and natural resources management including extension service provision, policy development, research, and programme management. She holds a Ph.D. in Conservation Biology from Bangor University, United Kingdom, and she worked for both local and international institutions including, UNDP_Malawi, United Nations University in Tokyo and the Malawi Government. She currently works as the Deputy Country Director of WeForest Malawi, which is working to protect, restore and conserve the Mount Mulanje Forest Reserve which was gazetted by Malawi Government in the year 1927 and designated a biosphere reserve by UNESCO in the year 2000. She is also a Gender Responsive Agriculture Systems Policy Fellow with the CGIAR African Women in Agriculture Research and Development- AWARD.
