Water Affairs identifies problematic municipalities

The Department of Water and Environmental Affairs says South Africa's drinking water remains among the best in the world, and it is improving. Municipalities last year achieved a further average water quality improvement of nearly 15%. But the department’s director of water service regulation, Leonardo Manus, says that some municipalities in the Eastern Cape, in the Free State and some in the Northern Cape have been identified as having failed to meet the requirement.
